Information Security Executive® (ISE®) North America Winners Announced by T.E.N.

ADP, United States Postal Service, Seattle Children’s, Department of Defense, CHOP, Quinnipiac University Bring Home Top ISE® Awards in 2012

Atlanta, GA (Nov. 6 , 2012) - T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, announced finalists and winners yesterday evening for the ISE® North America Leadership Summit and Awards 2012. Information security executives and projects from the U.S. and Canada were recognized at the two-day event held Nov. 6-7, 2012 at the Westin Alexandria, Alexandria, Va. The ISE® Awards recognize outstanding achievements in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy and network security.

This year’s recipient of the ISE® North America Executive of the Year Award in the Executive Commercial category was Roland Cloutier, vice president, CSO, ADP. Finalists in the category included Curtis Coleman, Information Security Officer, Seagate Technology, Tammy Moskites, vice president and CISO, Time Warner Cable and Myrna Soto, senior vice president and CISO, Comcast. In the Government Executive category, the winner was Charles McGann, CISO, United States Postal Service. The Health Care Executive category winner was Cris Ewell, CISO, Seattle Children's along with two finalists, Ray Biondo, vice president and CISO, Health Care Service Corporation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, NM, OK and TX and Scott Breece, director, security strategy and compliance, Community Health Systems. In the Education/Non-Profit Executive category, Brian Kelly, director of information security and network operations, Quinnipiac University, received an honorable mention.

The ISE® North America Project of the Year Award in the Commercial Project category was ADP for “Trusted Platform Security Initiative (TPSI).” Finalists included Comcast for “The Security IPv6 Readiness Project” and JPMorgan Chase & Co. for “JPMC Trusted Email.” The Department of Defense, in partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton, won in the Government Project category for “DoD Cyberscope Enterprise Reporting Service.” Finalists included the IRS for “Operational Security Program Management Office,” Montgomery County, Md. for “Enterprise Cloud Security Security Service and Architecture” and the United States Postal Service for “USPS Security Process Enhancement.” In the Health Care Project category, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) won for “eDiscovery,” with finalists HMS for “HMS Helps US Healthcare System Operate More Efficiently with Automated Identity & Access Management and Governance” and the collective submission by SAFE-BioPharma, Merck, Bristol-Meyers Squibb and the National Cancer Institute for “Research Collaboration in the Cloud: How NCI and Partners use Interoperable Digital Identities and Signatures to Accelerate Drug Development.” In the Education/Non-Profit category, Quinnipiac University received an honorable mention for “CAUSE.”

As part of the evening’s recognition, Tammy Moskites, vice president and CISO, Time Warner Cable, was honored as the ISE® North America People’s Choice Award Winner. The award represents the nominee who best exemplifies information security leadership as voted on by members of the security industry at large.

The ISE® of the Decade North America Award was given to Anish Bhimani, Chief Information Risk Officer, JP Morgan Chase & Co. The award was presented throughout 2012 on the tenth anniversary of the ISE® Awards to an exceptional information security executive for achieving the highest distinction in advancing the security industry in their region. Bhimani was chosen from the regional winners as the security executive who has had the most substantial impact on the industry during the last decade.
