T.E.N. Announces Call for Nominations for Information Security Executive (ISE®) West Awards 2010

Applications for Executive and Project Nominees Accepted through July 28, 2010

Atlanta, GA (June 15, 2010) –T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, announced today that nominations have opened now through July 28, for the ISE® West Awards 2010. The Information Security Executive™  of the Year Award is presented annually on a regional and national basis to a chief information security executive or their equivalent who has made a positive impact through risk management, data asset protection, regulatory compliance, privacy and information security. The Project of the Year Award recognizes a project completed in the past 12-18 months that has had an impact on an organization’s risk management or information security posture.

Winners, finalists and qualified nominees will be recognized at the ISE® West Executive Forum and Awards to be held on September 16, 2010 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, CA. The ISE® West Awards are held in conjunction with a one day Executive Forum which includes keynote speakers, interactive roundtables moderated by the CISOs and VPs of participating companies, and panel discussions.

Eligible nominees are selected from the U.S. western region including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.  Previous ISE® West Award finalists and winners include the top information security executives and their project teams from Broadcom, Intermountain Healthcare, First Republic Bank, Qualcomm City of Seattle, and First American Corporation.

For the ISE® West Awards, executives or project teams can be self-nominated in addition to entries by supervisors, employees, peers, or technology partners.  In addition to the questions that are to be completed for evaluation by the judges, the nomination form contains information on the history of the awards, judging process, award criteria, and next steps.

Nominations are sent to T.E.N.’s distinguished panel of ISE® West Judges for review and scoring. The panel of judges typically consists of previous finalists and winners of the ISE® Awards. Judges have the final approval in determining whether an executive or project team is qualified to participate as a nominee at either the regional or national level. Finalists and winners are not announced publicly until the evening of the awards.

Considered by many to be “the premier recognition and networking program for security professionals,” the ISE®  Awards Program Series has been recognized as the industry leader in showcasing executives and their teams in the information security industry across the U.S, Canada and Europe. During the Executive Forum and Awards, ISE®™  nominees and project teams are honored both during the business segments and the evening awards gala.  They are also recognized through press coverage and inclusion on T.E.N.’s website as well as other award promotions.
