Chip Regan is the AutoNation Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). AutoNation a Fortune 500© company with 26,000 Associates, over 300 locations across 18 states and is America’s largest and most recognized automotive retailer. Chip is responsible for the Information Security Program, including strategy, architecture, program management, operations, threat management, access management and training. Through his leadership, he is implementing a multi-year roadmap resulting in elevated levels of security and significantly reduced vulnerabilities to systems, applications, and customer data. Chip was most recently Vice President, CISO at JM Family Enterprises, the parent company of South East Toyota Distributors (SET).

Prior to JM Family, Chip was CISO at United Shore Financial Services, Global CyberSecurity Operations Manager at General Motors, and served in the United States Air Force where he commanded an Information Warfare unit and was the Chief of the Information Assurance division at Air Force Space Command. Chip is a retired Major with 23 years of service.

Chip has more than 35 years’ experience in Information Technology, with 22 years focused on leading Information Security teams.
