James Quadarella is the Head of the Cybersecurity Operating Office. Since joining the firm in February 2016, he has been a key cybersecurity executive with oversight over a wide range of functions that include cybersecurity strategy, budgeting & finance, cybersecurity analytics and reports, talent strategy, vendor management, training & awareness, globalization efforts for cybersecurity including global partnerships, and Business Information Security for Asian Corporate Banking (ACB), Legal and HR. James is located at the Jersey City, NJ office.

James has taken a leadership role building many of these functions from the ground up, and is a well-respected and recognized leader within MUFG. Additionally, he continues to have some of the highest employee engagement scores across the Operations and Technology organization, further solidifying his ability as an outstanding manager.

With 20+ years of experience, James is a seasoned information technology and risk security executive in the financial services sector. Prior to MUFG, James was with JPMorgan Chase where he served in a number of senior leadership roles including Global Head of Firm-wide Identity and Access Management, Chief Operating Officer of IT Risk & Security Management and Global Head of Information Security Operations. He was also instrumental in building out JPMorgan’s IT Risk presence in partnership with Syracuse University. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, James held senior technology leadership roles at Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust, among other organizations.

James received his graduate degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as a Moore Fellow in the Management of Technology, and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Syracuse University SUNY ESF.

James originally hails from Brooklyn. James is married with two sons and currently resides in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
