Mason has been with Honeywell since 2002. In 2005, he became Honeywell’s first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), supporting the Aerospace division with high visibility in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) cyber community. He subsequently assumed the role of Corporate CISO in 2008 and Corporate VP and CSO in late 2010.

 

Mason specializes in the fields of computer forensics, threat intelligence, incident-response, and network-based investigations. Throughout his career, he has managed hundreds of sensitive and technically challenging cyber investigations for companies such as Honeywell, Lucent/Bell Labs, AT&T, and United Airlines.  He is a former member of the Secret Service’s New York Electronic Crimes Task Force and a graduate of the FBI’s Executive Academy. He has instructed numerous government and military agents on advanced computer forensics tools, investigative techniques, and countermeasures, including Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) response and preparedness.

 

An Alumni with honor from Michigan State University, Mason received their first Criminal Justice degree with a specialization in Security Management. This specialization uniquely combined the disciplines of Business Management, Criminal Justice, and Computer Science. He is Six Sigma Black Belt, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), Honeywell Operating System (HOS), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Chemical Vulnerability Information (CVI) certified and a graduate of Honeywell’s Executive Development Program (EDP).

Mason presently serves as a Modern-day Abolitionist and Chairs the Corporate Committee for Streetlight, a non-profit organization devoted to eradicating domestic child sexual slavery.
