Eric Litt is OnStar’s recently appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) responsible for end-to-end Information Technology solutions across the OnStar enterprise.  OnStar, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors, is the global leading provider of connected safety, security and mobility solutions and advanced information technology.

Eric served as General Motors’ (GM) ChiefInformation Security and Risk Officer for over eight years leading up to his current role.  He was responsible for the development and execution of GM's global, enterprise-wide Information Technology (IT) security strategy and for driving implementation of security related programs into each region/business unit. Eric was also responsible for the development and implementation of global IT security policies, controls and standards, as well as ensuring that appropriate tools and metrics were in place 
to allow for effective monitoring, measurement and control of risk as it related to IT security.

Prior to accepting the Information Security role, Eric was General Motors’ Global Chief Enterprise Architect.  He also played the role of Global Systems Architect for GM's Product Development Organization. He has been an independent consultant, as well as having worked for such prestigious organizations as Battelle Memorial Institute and Lincoln Electric Company.
