Sonja Hammond is the Chief Information Security (CISO) and Privacy Officer at Essilor of America, Inc. She is a strong leader in the areas of data security and corporate risk. As a key thought leader, Ms. Hammond is well-versed in building and directing dynamic cybersecurity teams; evaluating tools, technologies and processes; developing cyber/risk programs; leading monitoring and incident management; establishing security architecture and compliance standards; and protecting corporate assets. With over 20 years of cybersecurity and IT experience, Ms. Hammond began her security career as a forensic subject matter expert and has spent the last 10 years building cybersecurity programs at Essilor, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and Callaway Golf Company. Ms. Hammond graduated with a B.S. in Information Systems and an M.B. A. both from Arizona State University. She currently holds CISSP, PCI-ISA, and ITIL certifications. She is currently focused on raising the cybersecurity posture across the corporate environment and on implementing security tools to automate the protection of the broad computing environments that continue to expand as a result of cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT).
