Michael Blache is a highly experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with over 20 years of experience in both private and military sectors, having served in the Navy and Air Force.

In his current role, CISO at TaxSlayer, Michael established the company's first Information Security Department, where he developed and implemented comprehensive cybersecurity strategies. He leads a team responsible for security operations, regulatory compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity, and works closely with other senior executives to ensure that information security is integrated into all aspects of the business.

Michael's expertise in risk management, security operations, and incident response has been instrumental in protecting TaxSlayer's assets and data from cyber threats. He draws on his IT background to develop practical, effective solutions that address the unique security challenges faced by the company.

In addition to his work as CISO, Michael is an adjunct professor at Augusta Technical College where he takes pride in educating and preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. He also serves as a board member of the National Technology Security Coalition and on the Senior Executive Board for the Identity Theft and Tax Refund Fraud ISAC (IDTTRF-ISAC).
