In Memory of John Kirkwood: As he was a dear friend of mine, the loss of John Kirkwood has been difficult to accept. He was a wonderful man and inspiring leader who has left a mark on all of our lives. Recently, Rochelle Kirkwood has requested contributions to an upcoming digital memorial service that I wanted to share for her. Friends and colleagues of John are encouraged to record a one-minute video of their favorite memory of John. It could be a funny story, favorite quote of his or one of his corny jokes that they remember. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the digital memorial should send their recorded videos to Rochelle no later than Tuesday, June 2nd, at rochellekirkwood@gmail.com.
The memorial service (to be conducted on Zoom) will be held sometime in mid-June. For those of you who are interested in attending, please contact Anna Mitts at anna.mitts@albertsons.com.
I hope that John’s closest peers and friends will contribute a moment of their time to honor his memory and ensure we celebrate the best and brightest of moments in his life through this digital memorial service.
