Information Security Executive® (ISE®) Northeast Winners Announced by T.E.N.

ADP, JP Morgan Chase & Co., City of Seattle Bring Home Top ISE® Awards in 2012

ATLANTA –Oct. 5, 2012 - T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, announced finalists and winners last evening for the ISE® Northeast Awards 2012.  Awards were presented at the ISE® Northeast Executive Forum and Awards Gala held at the Westin Times Square, NY. The ISE® Awards recognize both Information Security Executives and Projects for outstanding achievements in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy and network security.

This year’s recipient of the Information Security Executive® Award was Roland Cloutier, vice president, CSO, ADP. Cloutier was recognized for his contribution to one of the world's largest providers of business outsourcing solutions a wealth of global protection and security leadership experience, including the management of strategic converged security and business protection programs. He tirelessly shares his time to various external security initiatives through engaging as a keynote speaker, panelist, and contributor to industry periodicals.  Under his leadership, the Global Security Office (GSO) saw an increase of 80% in pre- and post-sales engagements that ultimately demonstrates its success in driving security as a top priority to maintain ADP’s position as a leader in the industry.

Finalists for the Executive of the Year category were also showcased during the awards program for their achievements in the industry. They included Myrna Soto, senior vice president and CISO, Comcast and Damian McDonald, vice president, Global Information Security, BD.

The Information Security Project of the Year Award was awarded to JP Morgan Chase & Co. for “JPMC Trusted Email Registry.” Accepting on behalf of the project team was Anish Bhimani, Chief Information Risk Officer.  Through this project, JP Morgan Chase & Co., broke the financial services firm trend to become one of the first users of a new technology that recognized the shortcomings of email security standards and addressed these flaws through a more advanced security standard. The project benefitted customers as well as the broader financial industry that was also suffering from the emergence of phishing attacks.

Finalists for the Project of the Year category included ADP for “Trusted Platform Security Initiative (TPSI)” and “Client Security Management Office Portal (CSMO),” and SAFE for “BioPharma.”

As part of the evening’s recognition, Roland Cloutier, vice president and CSO, ADP, was announced as the ISE® Northeast People’s Choice Award Winner. The award represents the nominee who best exemplifies information security leadership as voted on by the registered attendees.

The ISE® of the Decade Northeast Award was given to Anish Bhimani, Chief Information Risk Officer, JP Morgan Chase & Co. The award, making its decade debut in 2012, will be given throughout the year to an exceptional information security executive who has achieved the highest distinction in advancing the security industry in their region. Bhimani, a 2008 ISE Northeast Executive Award Winner, was chosen among ten previous ISE® Award winner nominees.
