Dan is currently the Information Security Governance leader for Mars Inc. , the third largest private company in America.  He has successfully managed global data protection programs in four Fortune 100 companies, including the Walt Disney Company where he retired earlier this year. He has created, implemented and managed global privacy, IP protection, security investigations and data protection programs for two decades.  For the last seven years, he has served as Vice President of the Society for Policing Cyberspace, a unique nonprofit assisting third world countries in building infrastructure to address cybercrime.  In November 2013,  he was elected President of the group.  In 2011 he became a senior fellow with the Ponemon Institute, a leading data protection research group.  A highlight of his career was the opportunity to conducted an independent operations security review of the White House for the Inspector General of the US Secret Service and two Congressional committees.
