Chris Spence is Chief Technology Officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI). He leads the technology initiatives for the Institute and its programs to promote and strengthen democracy spanning 70 countries around the world. Spence has conducted NDI tech for democracy programs in dozens of countries with particular expertise in Africa, and has worked with a large number of legislatures, governments, election monitoring organizations, political parties and civil society organizations in developing countries and emerging democracies. Spence’s technology career started in Silicon Valley with several companies including Oracle, Netscape and Triad Systems.
