Greg Schaffer has more than twenty-four years of experience as a thought leader in information technology and security. Currently he is the Information Security Officer for FirstBank, the third largest Tennessee bank with 57 locations across the Southeast. Prior he served as the first Chief Information Security Officer for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and as the Assistant Vice President for Network and Information Technology Security at Middle Tennessee State University.

Greg has given numerous presentations and written several articles on information technology and security, and currently serves as information security advisor for the Tennessee Board of Regents. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Project Management (Middle Tennessee State University), a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (University at Buffalo), and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
