Jason Gunnoe got his start in the information security field in the late 1990’s working for Cincinnati Bell as a Network Security Engineer where most of his time was spent standing up managed services for dot-coms. From there he moved onto his first international IT security team, in 2001, working for Thomson Learning. While at Thomson Learning, he reported to the CSO and helped drive the adoption of the corporation’s first global security program. In 2005, he joined the State of Tennessee in the role of the state’s first CISO. While with the State of Tennessee, Jason was able to build the State’s first information security program. In 2012, Jason joined Bridgestone Americas as Global Director, IT Security and Compliance. At Bridgestone Americas, Jason is responsible for the operations and strategic development of the information security program. Jason has spent a total of 19 years working in the field of information security. Prior to his InfoSec career, he worked in the field of Architecture. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee. Jason has published works in both the field of information security as well as architecture.
