Over 35 years of experience in providing Executive Level management in the area Information Technology field as a CIO, CSO, and CISO.  

Mark retired as a Colonel after 22 years of service to his county in the U.S. Army.  During his military service Mark was nominated, selected and received the honor to work at the White House as the CIO/CISO for President Clinton, supporting the VP, the White House Staff, and the U.S. Secret Service managing all the classified automation and telecommunications. Mark held several join command and staff positions from a line company up to Army staff.  Mark is a combat veteran.

Mark join the civilian sector as the CIO/CSO for World Airways – the largest US wide body long-hall charter airline.  He has also had the opportunity of working as the Deputy CIO (over Global Operations) and CISO for InterCall - the world’s largest conferencing company.  He was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for TravelClick - a Software as a Service (SaaS) company in the hospitality.  Mark has also performed Executive Security counseling as the Acting CISO for NCR and for the American Cancer Society.  Currently Mark is the Information Security Officer at U.S. Bank/Elavon the third larges processor of credit cards.

Mark’s educations include being a Certified Chief Information Officer, a Certified Information Security Manager, a Certified Project Management Professional, is a graduate of both the National Defense University and University of Montevallo with a Master’s Degree, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

Mark’s Honors include being a published Information Security professional and Cyber Security specialist, a noted speaker and panel member in the Information Security field.  A “CISO of the year” finalist in 2013, a “Global CISO of the year” in 2014, and a National Information Security Project award winner in 2013.  His military honors include the Presidential Service Badge, the Legion of Merit, the Soldiers Medal (highest peace time valor award in the army), the airborne and air assault badges, is a graduate of the Jungle Expert School in Panama and the Winter Warfare School in Alaska, and has multiple peace time and war time ribbons.  His civilian volunteer honors include, being a life member of the Peachtree City Fire Department volunteering over 20 years in the fire service, with numerous firefighting awards, including the Rooky of the year award and may others.  Mark currently volunteers as a Colonel in the Georgia State Defense Force holding the position as the Assistant Chief of Staff/G6 handling communications and computers for the Defense Force.  Mark is also a Lt Col in the Civil Air Patrol, were he is the Deputy Commander for the largest and most active Squadron in the State of Georgia.
