Mr. Curtis Coleman is the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for the leading international system storage company, Seagate Technology. In 2012, Curtis was selected by his peers to be the winner of the Information Security Executive of the Year Award (West Region). He was also honored to be listed in ExecRank’s “Top 150 Security Executive Rankings” for North America. Curtis has over twenty years experience in IT architecture, security, and management, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), as well as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).  He is an internationally recognized leader and conference speaker in the areas of Security Leadership, Computer Security Architecture, Web and e-Business Security. Curtis is a visiting scientist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and is a founding member of the governing board for LLNL’s Network Security Innovation Center. Along with his professional career, Curtis is also focused on academic excellence, recently becoming an Upsilon Pi Epsilon member, the National Computer Science Honor Society. Curtis has a Master of Science in Information Assurance (MSIA) from Norwich University, and is pursuing his Ph.D., researching “Cybersecurity Intelligence & Artificial Immune Systems.” Curtis is a highly sought after thought leader, and currently serves on the following Security Advisory Councils: Salesforce.com; Palo Alto Networks; andFireEye. His professional associations are: Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) Cybersecurity Policy Committee; Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), having served on the COBIT and Security Governance Review Boards; and Curtis is on the Editorial Review Board for Norwich Journal of Information Assurance, a peer-review professional journal. To balance his professional and academic life, Curtis gives back to his community as a volunteer Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America.
